How do I book an appointment?

What languages do you speak?
We provide care in English, Spanish, Romanian and Russian.
Do you see children?
Yes. We see children and adults, and we offer myopia management for children whose nearsightedness is getting worse.
Which insurance do you accept?
Coverage depends on your plan. Call us before your visit and we will check your benefits with you.
Can I buy glasses from your website?
No. Our optical is in the office, so you can try frames on and have them fitted properly.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Your current glasses and contact lenses, a list of medications, your insurance card and a photo ID.
Why choose a local optometrist instead of a chain?

What are the other benefits of a local practice?
“I can be flexible. If you run out of contacts, I can give you a trial pair. If you have a wedding coming up and need to come in, you can come in, and you don’t have to pay for an extra visit.” — Dr. Olteanu
Can wearing contact lenses incorrectly be serious?
“Yes. I have sent three patients to the emergency room. One was an older patient who likely had a hard time taking her lenses out and putting them back in. The other two had neglected their lenses until their vision dropped so badly that they needed a corneal transplant.” — Dr. Olteanu
Follow the wearing and cleaning schedule for your lenses, and call us if your eye is red or painful.
Should everyone wear sunglasses?
“I recommend sunglasses for everybody, every day, including in winter.” UV from the sun can cause a growth on the white of the eye, so UV protection matters all year. — Dr. Olteanu
